As usual the Beecraigs outing was a well attended (12 rods) event helped by the fact that it was held on a Sunday for the first time in many years. Unfortunately the boats were not in best order when anglers arrived with many holding a good measure of water following heavy rain overnight.

It proved to be a dour day for most with very few 'tight lines'. Willie Orr hit activity on the roadside drift  whilst others changed flies, lines and fishing spots to no avail. However Ronnie Weir decided to try the north east corner of the dam wall and was rewarded with the most activity of all. Ronnie noted that he was not taking coaching from Joe Brown who was having a Sunday afternoon stroll round the loch. No Beecraigs 'monsters' from this outing were to feature in the club's heaviest fish of the year awards as any fish taken were of the couple of pound size. However as many members have discussed in the past, there is a preference for fish of the medium size....

Results: David Armour 1 fish for 1.8lbs Harry Millar 1 fish for 1.96lbs Willie Orr 2 fish for 4.25lbs Ronnie Weir 3 fish for 6.5lbs
