Wednesday 17th June 2009 was slightly overcast with gusting winds from the west. Anglers tended towards the motorway side of the loch, other than George and Alastair who headed towards the east end. Later reports of heavy weed growth in the eastern bays kept most anglers to the town bay areas.

Washing line tactics were successful and a wide variety of flies appeared to be taken by hard fighting fish.

Ken Overton had a steady day session landing five fish before tea. Bernard McGee joined the club anglers shortly after 2.00pm and was soon into fish landing a couple for 5 and 1/4lbs.

All stopped for the traditional fish and chips, glad that it was not the first fish that we'd seen that day!

The evening session proved more difficult with fewer fish coming to the nets. David Armour landed a nice 4 and 3/4lbs 'bow.

Ken held on to his top spot with the five fish bag earning him the Post Marches Trophy winner spot for 2009 - congratulations.
