Anglers were met with reasonably good weather for this evening session at Millhall. Wind was initially light but began to swirl from the east. The odd fish was seen rising mear the holding nets but otherwise there was little or no surface activity.
After an hour or so floating lines were getting changed to get further down the water column. One or two offers were had and the occasional fish fought for a minute or two before dropping off. Story was the same out on the boats with very few fish feeding on the surface.
Joe Hayes took a fish off the dam wall on a buzzer, with Ronnie Weir and David Armour having a further fish each. Members agreed to close the event early after Bernard took a bad turn. I am pleased to report that Bernard made a full recovery later that evening, being released from hospital just after 11.00pm. Bridget and Bernard thank all members and fishery staff for actions taken on the evening. Reported by Harry Millar. |
